Twenty years ago, travel agents wouldn't think of putting honeymooners or couples looking for a romantic getaway on a cruise. Back then, most cabins had twin beds, which isn't exactly what honeymooners have in mind. The cruise ships that still have assigned seating have alternative restaurants where love birds can reserve a table for two. On Sea Dream Yacht Club, the two of you can arrange to have dinner table out on deck in the moonlight. If you spring for a cabin with a balcony or stay in a suite, you can usually have dinner served course by course in your stateroom or on your verandah. And on several all-inclusive cruise lines, you can have Champagne and caviar hor d'oeuvres delivered to your stateroom 24 hours a day.

The staff will tuck you in, with Champagne on ice, rose petals, and chocolates, so you and your one and only can sleep under the stars. Once they rope off the area, it's actually quite private.

Active couples will enjoy a ship with a water-sports platform that lets you jet ski, snorkel, windsurf, or sail right from the stern. It would be impossible to be on board a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and not be entertained. These ships offer all kinds of fun stuff including rock-climbing, wave pools, boxing arenas, and stuff designed for families like mini-golf courses. For couples, they offer romantic dinners and spa facilities. The Radiance class is specially designed with a more environmental-friendly gas powered engines. They come with grand public rooms and have the beautiful glass exterior viewing elevators. The dining rooms are constructed with glass and have a great view. This class includes the Monarch of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas. These ships were the first ones to ever have an open atrium area. These ships are grand with big pools, bars with specious lounges, and theatres with large seating capacity.

Cruising has become a hugely popular vacation option, not just in the States, but in many countries around the world now. Due to the massive popularity in the cruise vacation industry, there are so many different cruise companies for you to choose from these days. They all differ from one another and have their own unique selling points. A cruise company will often try to create its own little niche within the massive cruise market. This being said, they do have some very busy ships, especially the ones that sail in the Caribbean in the winter time.

Holland America Line:

Holland America line is another cruise company that operates underneath the Carnival Corporation umbrella. Carnival actually purchased Holland America Line back in 1988 and has helped them go from strength to strength. Modern cruise liners are huge and can usually handle rough weather in stride without the passengers on board even noticing. The popularity of Caribbean cruises has resulted in several cruise lines operating in the region, as well as several different routes to choose from. So how do you decide which cruise line and route?

Depending on the length of the cruise, one or a few of these regions can be explored. There are also cruises just to one destination, such as Bermuda or the Bahamas (both of which are technically not actually part of the Caribbean, but close enough!).
